The Exile Boys ended their winter season this past weekend at the BANE tournament in Harrisburg.  And the 18 Blue team ended up winning a bid to the 18 USA National Championship Tournament in Dallas, TX.

All three Exile teams jumped out to a fast start on Saturday, as they all advanced out of pool play to clinch finishes in the top half of their respective tournaments.  The 18 Red team went 3-0 and won their pool and the 18 Blue and 16 Red teams each went 2-1 and moved on to the next stage of the qualifying tournament on Sunday.

The 18 Blue team continued their great run on Sunday morning with a convincing victory to get them into contention for a bid.  A come from behind three set victory later in the day against Carolina United put the Blues in a high enough finish to accept the final bid for the 18 USA tournament being offered at the BANE tournament, completing the "Cinderella story" of the tournament.

Congratulations to the 18 Blue team and their head coach Mike Hensler.  The persistance, dedication and teamwork that you showed all season long paid off this weekend.
